My priorities for Kanata North

As I seek your confidence to serve as your City Councillor for Kanata North, my campaign is focused on the issues that are most pressing in our community.

Over the past few months, I have had the opportunity to speak to thousands of residents about their hopes, aspirations and their frustrations about living in our wonderful Kanata North community.

There are three themes that are clearly top of mind for residents. These three themes speak to my campaign promises and aspirations for our community:

How we Move

How we move within Kanata North - by bus, walking, cycling, and by car - is a big concern for residents. The lack of commitment for LRT to serve our community and the unreliable and inefficient bus service is frustrating. This is the biggest challenge Kanata North currently faces and continues to dominate the many conversations I have had throughout our community.

How we Grow

What are and should be our priorities around neighbourhoods, safety, green spaces and the environment? Kanata North is growing, and I am committed to making sure growth happens in a smart, inclusive and green way. I believe we should be doing more and I will address the issues and opportunities around the growth of our community.

How we Thrive

Kanata North’s technology sector is thriving like never before and is a gem in our community. What should we do to support job growth? And how can we help Kanata North thrive as a community to be a home to all of us who live, go to school, work and have retired here?

I have addressed neighbourhood specific priorities and commitments in separate blog posts for Beaverbrook, Morgan's Grant, Kanata Lakes, Briarbrook, Arcadia, Village Green and Richardson Ridge after knocking on every single door in Kanata North these past months. As the campaign continues, I look forward to discussing our future and how Kanata North should move, grow and thrive. Your input and feedback is important and valuable. Please reach out anytime to discuss should I miss you at the doors. Together, let’s make Kanata North an even better place to live and work!

This election campaign has already enriched my life in so many ways. A position on City Council would be both a wonderful opportunity to serve and an exciting challenge. As the campaign continues, I look forward to discussing our future and how Kanata North should Grow, Move and Thrive!  Your input and feedback is important and valuable. Please reach out anytime to discuss should I miss you at the doors.
